Overview:
As an Accounts Intern at Sandburgs, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in

accounts payable and receivable, financial record-keeping, and analysis. This

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records using
accounting software, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Support accounts payable processes by verifying invoices, obtaining
approvals, and processing payments to vendors and suppliers.
• Aid in managing accounts receivable functions, including generating invoices,
tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
• Assist with reconciling bank statements and other financial documents to
ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies or errors.
• Participate in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, such as profit
and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities by providing financial data,
analysis, and insights to support decision-making.
• Assist in monitoring and tracking expenses, identifying opportunities for cost
savings and efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and
support cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications:
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field will be
given preference.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in accounting, particularly within the

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
