Overview:
As an HR Intern at Sandburgs, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable handson experience in various aspects of human resources within the restaurant industry.
You will work closely with our HR team to support recruitment efforts, employee
engagement initiatives, training programs, and other HR functions. This internship is
ideal for students or recent graduates pursuing a career in human resources who are
eager to learn and contribute to a dynamic and growing restaurant company.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening
resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
• Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing orientation
materials, coordinating training sessions, and ensuring compliance with
company policies and procedures.
• Assist with employee relations activities, including addressing employee
inquiries, conducting exit interviews, and maintaining employee records.
• Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement employee
engagement initiatives, such as employee recognition programs, teambuilding activities, and wellness initiatives.
• Support the administration of HR-related processes, including performance
evaluations, employee benefits enrollment, and HRIS (Human Resources
Information System) data entry.
• Assist with the development and delivery of training programs for employees
on topics such as customer service, safety, and compliance.
• Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational
effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
• Stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations and assist
with ensuring compliance across the organization.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including filing, data
entry, and scheduling meetings.

Qualifications:
• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources Management,
Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in human resources within the restaurant
industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact
professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint.
• Prior HR or administrative experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced
environment.
